The Story Behind House of Futures

We built House of Futures out of necessity.

As professional artists working in high-pressure environments, we saw what happens when creative excellence is expected—but not nurtured. In our personal lives, we saw young people overflowing with potential, yet blocked by systems not built for their success.

What started as a single cosmetology workshop quickly expanded into cosmetology, creative pathways, art therapy—and so much more. Last year, we served over 90 students across multiple boroughs. We created lesson plans, sourced materials, trained educators, and built a curriculum that blends hands-on beauty training with healing, self-expression, and workforce readiness. Every day, we see what’s possible when care meets structure.

This is bigger than nails or blush.
It’s about access.
It’s about creating futures that feel good, look good, and are rooted in community power.
