Students in Action — The Business of Beauty in Paris
This fall, House of Futures brought its mission to Paris, visiting The Real School, a tuition-free cosmetology academy where students receive a monthly stipend. Here, artistry meets entrepreneurship: students learn hair, makeup, business, and creative skills while building confidence and professional poise.
We spoke with students about the business of beauty—how marketing, storytelling, and professionalism shape success. They were curious, engaged, and eager to apply what they learn to their future careers. It was inspiring to see students navigate the intersection of creativity and strategy, seeing their skills as tools for growth and opportunity.
What stood out most was the students’ confidence. They weren’t just learning a trade—they were learning to carry themselves in professional spaces, to see value in their craft, and to understand how creativity can be a career, a voice, and a form of empowerment.
The Real School experience reminded us that when education treats creative careers with respect and provides meaningful support, students thrive. Their curiosity, energy, and focus illustrated what’s possible when opportunity meets mentorship.
